The grinders can vary in quality, with some being made out of durable, long-lasting materials and others made simply for disposal after they're emptied. For the former, we use alumina for the grinding core, and for the latter, we use steatite for the grinding core. The product you are browsing is made of steatite.
Alumina ceramic is extremely hard and durable, resistant to chemicals, and environmentally friendly. It is for the higher end market. Steatite cores are mostly used in disposable grinders, mainly for the low-end market.
