Some people may wonder why blade coffee grinders are rarely seen on the market. This is because a blade grinder is cheaper but not durable. Secondly a blade grinder can never give you extremely fine ground because it chops the beans unevenly. Besides, a burr grinder has a mechanism that allows you to set grind sizes, while a blade grinder don't.
Mainly there are two types of coffee grinders, conical burr grinders and flat burr grinders. A flat burr grinder produces a remarkably even particle size, meaning that all the grounds are extremely uniform in size. For this reason, flat burrs are generally more expensive than conical burrs.
